Manually Updating Rapid Rental NOTE: Make sure you have performed a backup of the video information (C-4 from the main menu) before you update the program. Also, all other terminals must have exited Rapid Rental before you perform the update. Copy the PKUNZIP program onto the computer a) Insert the update disk into the computer b) Exit to DOS c) type CD\VIDEO and press enter if you are not already in the video directory. d) type COPY A:UNZIP.EXE PKUNZIP.EXE and press Make backup copies of the current video program files a) type COPY VIDEO.EXE VIDEO.EX1 and press b) type COPY VIDEO.OVR VIDEO.OV1 and press Update Rapid Rental (AFTER performing a complete backup) Insert the Update Disk AT C:\VIDEO> type PKUNZIP -O A:\*.ZIP and press Restart Rapid Rental If you are a Rentrak Store type MENU and press If you are a NON-Rentrak Store type VIDEO and press Reindex From the Main Menu type C-1-E Select Rebuild and press NOTE: If you are using a different hard drive letter then change the C for the appropriate letter (example F). If you are using a different floppy drive then replace the A with a B. If you are upgrading from a version previous to 3.91 to version 3.91 or higher, then the system will have to convert your movie and customer information to the new format.
